Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek

21N/22D Nepal

Poker Card

Duration: 21N/22D
Price Per Person: $1950
The Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek is a challenging trek in the eastern region of Nepal, known for its breathtaking mountain scenery, including Mount Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world. The trek takes about 18-21 days and passes through remote villages, lush forests and high passes. Due to the rugged terrain and high altitude, the hike is considered difficult and is recommended for experienced hikers in good physical condition. The best seasons are October-November and March-April.

The Kanchenjunga Circuit trek begins in the town of Taplejung and takes trekkers through a diverse landscape of rhododendron forests, alpine meadows and high barren mountain passes. Along the way, trekkers will have the opportunity to experience the unique cultures and lifestyles of local communities, including the Limbu people, who have a rich tradition of shamanism and animism.

The highlight of the trek is, of course, the spectacular views of the mountains, especially Mount Kanchenjunga at 8,586 meters (28,169 feet). The trek offers several different viewpoints of the mountain, such as Pampema, which offers a panoramic view of the entire Kanchenjunga range.

Hiking is considered difficult due to its high altitude, rugged terrain and often unpredictable weather conditions. Proper acclimatization is required before the trek, it is also important to be equipped with the right equipment and have the right level of fitness. Trekking also requires good preparation for wild and remote areas. Hikers must be self-sufficient as there are no settlements along the way. Trekkers should also be aware of the risks of altitude sickness and other hazards associated with high altitude trekking.

All in all, the Kanchenjunga Circuit trek is a challenging but rewarding trek that offers a unique and authentic experience of the remote and wild eastern regions of Nepal. Trekking through breathtaking mountain scenery, rich cultural heritage and remote wilderness is sure to be an unforgettable experience.
